Love Bites 3: Love Free Stake Hard is the best Bites yet!One of my favorite things about the Love Bites books is the snarky, strong-willed female leads. Dela McNamara (our heroine for this tale) is easily my favorite out of the three leading ladies I've met so far. She seems more realistic than the Savannah and Lysette. In fact, a lot of the things Dela said easily could have come out of my own head.
Of course, what would Love Bites be without J. Morgan's trademark humor? Laced in this dashing adventure is the sarcastic, slightly wonky, giggle inducing writing I've grown to love from J. Morgan. Once again I'm tickled pink by this fun vampire tale.
Sprinkled in with the humor and fun love story between Dela and her vampire beau, Deme, is a grab-your-hat adventure. I was impressed with how this story played out. The tale felt more fluid than the first two Love Bites; which is truly saying something because the first two stories were quite enjoyable.
However, what I think I enjoyed best was J. Morgan's creativity with this one. I LOVED the twist the author put on vampire-lore. The finale chapters of this book were an epic saga all their own. It was imaginative and intriguing. Hats off to J. Morgan for some stellar ingenuity and I'm looking forward to where the next installment will lead.
